Hypocrisy – Homosexuality, Tattoos, and The Bible.

Followers of the bible know this verse from Liviticus very, very well:

Lev 18:22 And thou shalt not lie with a man as with a woman, for it is an abomination.

For some strange reason, many of them seem to overlook this one just a few lines down:

Lev 19:28 And ye shall not make cuttings in your body for a dead body, and ye shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God.

I believe that the punishment for either of these, and the numerous other transgressions laid out in Leviticus, is death.  Even if I’m worng about that, I’m an pretty sure hell is awaiting any believer with tatoos.  Well, OK, I don’t believe in hell, but they do, so why all the tatoos, especially ones like this that PZ Myers writes about:

Ah, you silly boy, hell’s awatin’!

I completely agree with PZ, he should get Lev 19:28 tattooed on the other arm so that the hypocricy will be complete!

  1. Upon further delliberation, I wonder why someone would tattoo that on their arm…unless they were unsure of their own sexuality and they needed that to remind them..
